Hi...  I'm Moenau Rivera
I'm the co-founder of PORINETIA, i'm an entrepreneur, a wife, a mom of 2 beautiful girls.   I was born and raised in Tahiti and moved to the US in 2007 to live with my husband Steve an my two daugthers: Nanihi and Moehiti.

I worked for more than 15 years now in the travel industry and has always enjoyed travel, foreign languages and cultures of the world. Every year, i travel with my family to Tahiti to visit my family and friends there. I love my "Fenua", my "Culture". I am proud to be tahitian, a french and American Citizen.

I have acquired knowledge through personal travel and work experience in the travel industry over the years. i worked as a flight attendant for Air Tahiti Nui, then work in the sales department at the Air Tahiti Nui headquarters in Tahiti. I moved to Los Angeles to work for Air Tahiti Nui reservations department. Then i decided to begin a new career by opening my own travel agency.

My principal goal as an entrepreneur is to create a well-known and respected business around Travel, Tourism and Culture.

This brings me to YOU as i am here to SERVE YOU and HELP YOU TRAVEL, LEARN and CONNECT with Tahiti, my island home.

A polynesian dancer over 30 years, Steve has a special interest and passion for getting those with a similar passion to the birthplace of these dances, music, culture, way of life... Tahiti, Hawaii, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Aotearoa (New Zealand) etc...

After having performed, taught, choreographed and shared the islands with many individuals, groups and events around the world, Steve now teams with his wife Moenau to give other the opportunity to experience these magical islands and their riches person.

His primary focus is giving back to Polynesia that which it has given him ... passion, joy ...LIFE!

PORINETIA is a company focused on the promotion and perpetuation of the Pacific islands and the Polynesian Culture through Travel, Media, Education, Events and social interaction.

We are a virtual company with a team of professionals and experts of each area of our business working from different locations in US. We work in partnership with multiple and trusted host agencies, independent contractors, suppliers and small businesses. We are a LLC business located in Garden Grove, California.

Porinetia means “Polynesia” in Tahitian language, it was created and founded out of love by Moenau Rivera (a native of Tahiti, French Polynesia) and her partner Steve Rivera (a passionate of the ‘Ori Tahiti*). They both combined their expertise and knowledge in Travel & Tourism and Polynesian Culture to create Porinetia. Polynesia includes the islands of Tahiti, New Zealand, Hawaii, Rapa Nui, Samoa, Tonga, Cook islands and many more.
